Morgans Grace and Gentry

Priced to sell: $2,500 each, to be sold as a pair.
Grace and Gentry are full sister-brother matched Morgans, ages 7 and 8, sired by Devilwood Bayard and out of Stockridge Satin Doll. They have beautiful faces, large eyes and an overall striking appearance. They grow mane and tail like nobody's business. They are healthy, with good hooves and good conformation.

Grace and Gentry are naturally good at trail riding, very sensible and willing. They are green under saddle, but a safe ride - no bucking whatsoever. They handle new sights and objects very well. Grace and Gentry have been exposed to large farm equipment and trucks, haying machinery, motorbikes, atv's, tarps, water, and ground poles while under saddle - all without any problem. Competitive Endurance or trail riding would suit them wonderfully. Might make a gorgeous driving pair or tandem, or beautiful to drive single. They are currently in training to drive with Sara Licht, and they seem to be enjoying it so far.

These horses are being worked with on a regular basis and you can visit them at Saddle Ridge Stables in Oregon, Wisconsin. These horses will do well with moderate to experienced horse handlers, and are for sale as a pair. Please contact Sara Licht for more information (608)215-5200 or email saralicht@yahoo.com

Videos of Grace and Gentry under saddle

Remember to scroll down below for more photos and information about Grace and Gentry.

Currently Grace and Gentry seem to be enjoying their driving training and taking all of my strange training toys in stride. In full harness with the long lines they are pulling a tire, pulling a travois, a noisy septic tube, and a long pvc pole, with an open bridle and beginning some things with the blinker bridle. Contact me with questions or to schedule an appointment to see Grace and Gentry. Sara Licht(608)215-5200

“Her owner has said, “She doesn’t bite, kick, or buck, and she doesn’t run away when I fall off!” This is true - she has a very good nature. I rode Abby a month and a half for a tune up, just a few times a week and she is delightful. I really like this mare. She picks right up where you left off the last time; she’s very smart.”
– Trainer Sara Licht, Madison, Wisconsin

Abby is an easy keeper and has been healthy the entire 10 years with her current owner. She’s been exposed to loud machinery, jumps, other horses riding around, various distractions on the property and on trail rides and she handles it all very well. She prefers to trail ride with a buddy, and is very sensible.
Abby stands about 15 hands high, and is boarded at Saddle Ridge Stables, in Oregon, Wisconsin, where you can meet her in person.

VIDEOS OF ABBY November, 2010
(these are all unrehearsed, and includes her getting warmed up. I just saddled her up and we got on, with no prior longeing or round pen time.)

Walking warm up:

Trotting warm up (video below.) Abby would be suitable for Western or English style. I warm her up in a forward trot, posting, and then in the latter part of this video I ask her to do a slower trot that is easy to sit.

The video below is a bit long, but shows both canter leads. If you get bored, skip to about 4:15 for her Right canter lead, and then at the end I talk about how she feels to ride.
